Candidate:
Highly experienced executive with over 20 years of sales, marketing and business development experience with almost every major RFID hardware manufacturer.

System Design

Challenge:
Design and implement an on-plastic and on-metal UHF RFID tag solution in a dense reader mode (DRM) environment for an automotive asset tracking application in Europe. This was one of the largest RFID system installations in the history of Europe in a project worth over £4m.
Candidate:
Highly experienced RFID Senior Technical Project Manager with deep hands-on experience. Has worked on almost every major RFID implementation in Europe including dolly tagging and tracking, apparel, retail, document tracking and libraries. For this application Intermec’s enterprise (IF 61) readers were used alongside of IBM’s middleware software. Fork-lift reader solutions from Intermec were also piloted.

Hardware

Challenge:
To roll out UHF EPC Gen 2 specific equipment for Wal-Mart to 125 of their locations with approximately 25 readers per store in a 10 week time frame.
Candidate:
Director of RFID Implementations at Symbol (Matrics) and implemented the single largest RFID roll-out to date at that time. Responsible for all aspects of the project, including site surveys, installation, testing, data integration, trouble shooting and support.

Challenge:
To successfully integrate data collected from RFID readers into SAP and SupplyScape (TraceLink) simultaneously at Colgate Pharmaceuticals. The purpose of the data integration was to inform Colgate’s customer base and the US Government of lot, batch and manufacturing information for tracking and ePedigree purposes.
Candidate:
RFID Senior Systems Engineer with a strong background in SAP AII development, led the SAP development team in successfully integrating the RFID data collected into SAP and SupplyScape (TraceLink) simultaneously.

Management Support

Challenge:
To establish operating and troubleshooting protocols for installed RFID hardware and software. To create a troubleshooting checklist and escalation protocol for RFID system failures.
Candidate:
Senior Test Engineer / Support Engineer who performed System Testing for RFID supply chain management products. Created basic SQL queries in order to verify data is properly recorded in each database and Installed/configured the RFID Test Environment. Designed and implemented an escalation troubleshooting protocol for internal / external troubleshooting of RFID equipment.
